Niya Pierre is an African American girl, who is very intelligent, social and terrific at cheerleading and dance. She is the youngest child of Mr. Ryan Pierre and Mrs. Jackson-Pierre. She comes from a generations of educated family members. Her parents and grandparents graduated from the HBCU she plans to attend. Her older sister and brother are current students there. This has a great impact on Niya and who she wants to be when she gets older. She wants to be a nurse like her mom and join the sorority that wears pink and green like her mom and sister. She also wants to own a dance studio one day.

Mr. Ryan Pierre is an Information Technology (IT) Manager. He majored in Computer Science, at his family’s HBCU (Historical Black Colleges and Universities). He is a proud member of the fraternity that wears black and gold.  He is married to Mrs. Mia Jackson-Pierre, who he met while in college. He and his wife promote education and other HBCU college values for their children, who are being raised to attend the same HBCU where they both are graduates. Mr. Pierre enjoys sports, reading, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Mrs. Mia Jackson-Pierre is a Registered Nurse. She majored in Nursing at the HBCU

 (Historical Black Colleges and Universities) her parents graduated from. She is a proud member of the sorority that wears pink and green. She is married to Mr. Ryan Pierre, who she met in college. She and her husband promote education and other HBCU values for their children, who are being raised to attend the same HBCU where they are both graduates. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, volunteering at her children’s school, and organizing events for her sorority. 

Tyler Pierre is the only son of Mr. Ryan Pierre and Mrs. Mia Jackson Pierre. He has always been great at math and science and, majoring in Civil Engineering at the same HBCU his parents and grandparents attended. Spending time with his family is very important to him and he is a great and protective brother to his sisters. He plays sports with his friends and cousins and is a member of the black and gold fraternity like his father.

Tyler

Riley Pierre is the oldest daughter of Mr. Ryan Pierre and Mrs. Mia Jackson-Pierre. She wants to go to law school when she graduates from getting her Bachelor’s Degree. She studies hard to make great grades and make her parents proud. Spending time with her family and being a big sister to Niya are very important. She is a member of her mother’s sorority that wears pink and green, and also does volunteer work. Riley enjoys doing girly things like hair and nails with her friends and cousins.
